Description

Although published first almost a century ago, the book has not been superseded by any other commentary on the subject and can't be neglected by the serious student: the value of its study of various versions and Greek translations is still unmatched. Like most of Christian commentators Paton exhibits a substantial unease and sees little or no historical value in Esther, but this attitude can easily be ignored and the book used for its valuable material. The electronic edition contains 14,823 links of which more then a third are direct references to Tanakh.
