To set up the data access

by Joey Bernal, Peter Blinstrubas, Tim Hanis, Stefan Hepper, Ron Lynn, Cayce Marston, Usmon Memon, Varadarajan Ramamoorthy
To set up the data access components within RAD, follow steps 1 and 2 in the quick start section above. For step 3, however, mapping the libraries is much simpler. It requires only the following: a. Open the administration console of the test environment, and navigate to the Environment tab, shown in Figure B. 11. b. Click the Add External Folder button, and then browse for the cmlib folder you unzipped under your local test environment. In a typical installation, this location might be C:\\ Program Files\\ IBM\\ Portal51UTE\\ PortalServer\\ shared\\ app\\ cmlib. c. Close the admin console, and restart the test environment to have your changes to take effect. CUSTOM SETUP OPTIONS We’ve made every attempt to keep this aspect of the book as simple as possible so you can focus on the work at hand — portlet programming — and try to ignore some of the underlying work that goes on in many projects. We’ve found APPENDIX B: Setting Up the Data Components 482 Figure B. 11: Setting up a shared library in Rational Application Developer
