by Varda Books
torah GENESIS 20 11.32 noah two hundred and five years; and Terah died in Haran. lekh lekha 12 Now the Lord said unto Abram: ‘ Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto the land that I will show thee. [ 2] And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and be thou a blessing. [ 3] And I will bless them that bless thee, and him that curseth thee will I curse; and in thee shall all the families of the earth be blessed.’ [ 4] So Abram went, as the Lord had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him; and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran. [ 5] And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother’s son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came. [ 6] And Abram passed through the land unto the place of Shechem, unto the terebinth of Moreh. And the Canaanite was then in the land. [ 7] And the Lord appeared unto Abram, and said: ‘ Unto thy seed will I give this land’; and he builded there an altar unto the Lord, who appeared unto him. [ 8] And he removed from thence unto the mountain on the east of Beth- el, and pitched his tent, having Beth- el on the west, and Ai on the east; and he builded there an altar unto the Lord, and called upon the name of the Lord. [ 9] And Abram journeyed, going on still toward the South. [ 10] And there was a famine in the land; and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was sore in the land. [ 11 ] And it came to pass, when he was come near to enter into Egypt, that he said unto Sarai his wife: ‘ Behold now, I know that thou art a fair woman to look upon. [ 12] And it will come to pass, when the Egyptians shall see thee, that they will say: This is his wife; and they will kill me, but thee they will keep alive. [ 13] Say, I pray thee, thou art my sister; that it may be well with me for thy sake, and that my soul may live because of Á  11 ˙ È ˘ ‡ ¯ ·  ‰ ¯  ˙ 20 Á ¯ © z−¤ ˙ Ó ¨ ¬ i ¨  © ‰ ®  ¨ L ¨ ÌÈ ¦ ˙ ´ © ‡ Ó ¨ e ÌÈ−  ¦ L ¨ L ¬ Ó¥ Á ¨ Ò : Ô ¯ « ¨ Á ¨ a § ÍÏ ÍÏ E ² Ï § - CϤ Ì ¯ ½ ¨ · § ‡ © - χ¤ Ɖ  ¨ ‰ È § ¯ Ó¤ ‡ Ÿi ³  © 12 - χ¤ EÈ · ® ¦ ‡ ¨ ˙ È ´ a¥ Ó ¦ e E− z § „ § Ï © Bn « Ó ¦ e E ¬ ˆ § ¯ § ‡ © Ó¥ ÏB„ ½ b ¨ ÈB‚ ´ Ï § ÆEN § Ú¤ ‡ « ¤  § 2 : j ¨ ‡ « ¤ ¯ § ‡ © ¯ ¬ L¤ ‡£ ץ ¯ ¤ ‡− ¨ ‰ ¨ : ‰ Î « ¨ ¯ ¨ a § ‰− È¥‰ § ¤ EÓ ® ¤ L § ‰ Ï− ¨ c § ‚ © ‡ £  © E ½ Î § ¯ ¤ ´ · ¨ ‡ £  © eÎ ´ ¯ § · §  ¦  § ¯ Ÿ‡ ® ‡ ¨ E− Ï § l¤ ˜ © Ó § e EÈΤ ½ ¯ § ´ · ¨ Ó § Ɖ Î ¨ ¯ £ · « ¨ ‡ £  © 3 Ì ¯ À ¨ · § ‡ © CϤ ´ i¥  © 4 :‰ Ó « ¨ „ ¨ ‡ £ ‰ ¨ ˙ ŸÁ ¬ t § L § Ó ¦ ÏŸk− E ½ · § ËBÏ ® Bz− ‡ ¦ CϤ ¬ i¥  © ‰  ¨ ½ ‰ È § ÆÂÈÏ ¨ ‡ ¥ ¯ ³ a¤ c ¦ ¯ L¤ ¸ ‡ £ k © ‰  ¨ ½ L ¨ ÌÈÚ ´ ¦ · § L ¦  § ÆÌÈ  ¦ L ¨ LÓ ³ ¥ Á ¨ - Ôa¤ Ì ¯ À ¨ · § ‡ ©  § È ¯ ¸ © N ¨ - ˙ ‡ ¤ ÁÌ ¯ ¨ · § ‡ © Áw ´ © i ¦  © 5 : Ô ¯ « ¨ Á ¨ Ó¥ B ˙ − ‡ ˆ ¥ a § - Ïk ¨ - ˙ ‡ ¤  § ÂÈÁÀ ¦ ‡ ¨ - Ôa¤ ËBÏ ´ - ˙ ‡ ¤  § Bz ¹ L § ‡ ¦ - ¯ L¤ ‡£ LÙ¤− p¤‰ © - ˙ ‡ ¤  § eLÎ ¨ ½ ¯ ¨ ¯ L ´ ¤ ‡ £ ÆÌL ¨ eÎ ¯ § ÔÚ ©  © ½ k § ‰ ˆ ¨ ¯ § ‡ ´ © Æ ˙ Τ Ϥ Æ Ï ¨ e‡ À ˆ § i¥  © Ô ¯ ® ¨ Á ¨ · § eN ´ Ú ¨ ץ ¯ ¤ ‡ ¨ ½ a ¨ ÆÌ ¯ ¨ · § ‡ © ¯ Ÿ · ³ Ú£ i ©  © 6 : ÔÚ © «  ¨ k § ‰ ˆ ¨ ¯ § ‡ ¬ © e‡ Ÿ · − i ¨  © È−  ¦ Ú£  © k § ‰ « ©  § ‰ ¯ ® ¤ BÓ ÔBÏ ´ ‡ ¥ „ Ú− © ÌΤ ½ L § ÌB ˜ ´ Ó § „ Ú © μ ¯ Ó¤ ‡ Ÿi ¾  © Ì ¯ ½ ¨ · § ‡ © - χ¤ Ɖ  ¨ ‰ È § ‡ ¯ ³ ¨ i¥  © 7 : ץ ¯ ¤ ‡ « ¨ a ¨ ʇ ¬ ¨ ÆÌL ¨ Ô · ¤ i ³ ¦  © ˙ ‡ Ÿf ® ‰ © ץ ¯ ¤ ‡ ´ ¨ ‰ ¨ - ˙ ‡ ¤ Ôz−¥ ‡¤ E ½ Ú£ ¯ § Ê © ¸ Ï § ˜ z¥ ¸ Ú § i ©  © 8 : ÂÈÏ « ¨ ‡ ¥ ‰ ¬ ‡ ¤ ¯ § p ¦ ‰ © ‰−  ¨ ‰ ÈÏ © Á © a¥ ½ Ê § Ó ¦ ‰ ω‡ Ë ´ i¥  © χ −¥ - ˙ È · « ¥ Ï § Ì„¤ w ² ¤ Ó ¦ ‰ ¯ ¨ ‰ ¨ À ‰ ¨ ÌM ¨ ¹ Ó ¦ ÌL ³ ¨ - Ô · ¤ i « ¦  © Ì„¤ w ½ ¤ Ó ¦ ÈÚ ´ © ‰ ¨  § ÆÌi ¨ Ó ¦ χ ³ ¥ - ˙ Èa « ¥ BÏ ® ‰ ¢ ‡ ¨ Úq ´ © i ¦  © 9 :‰  « ¨ ‰ È § Ì ¬ L¥ a § ‡ ¯ − ¨ ˜ § i ¦  © ‰  ¨ ½ ‰ ÈÏ « © ÆÁ © a¥ Æ Ê § Ó ¦ Ù : ‰ a ¨ ‚ § « p¤‰ © Ú © BÒ−  ¨  § CBÏ ¬ ‰ ¨ Ì ¯ ½ ¨ · § ‡ © Ɖ Ó ¨ È § ¯ Æ © ˆ § Ó ¦ Ì ¯ ³ ¨ · § ‡ © „ ¯ ¤ i¥ ¸  © ץ ¯ ¤ ‡ ® ¨ a ¨ · Ú− ¨ ¯ ¨ ȉ ¬ ¦ È §  © 10 ȉ ¾ ¦ È §  © 11 : ץ ¯ ¤ ‡ « ¨ a ¨ · Ú− ¨ ¯ ¨ ‰ ¨ „ ¬ · ¥ Î ¨ - Èk « ¦ ÌL ¨ ½ ¯ e‚ ´ Ï ¨ Æ ¯ Ó¤ ‡ ŸiÆ Â © ‰ Ó ¨ È § ¯ ® ¨ ˆ § Ó ¦ ‡ B · ´ Ï ¨ · È ¯ − ¦ ˜ § ‰ ¦ ¯ ¬ L¤ ‡ £ k © ‰ M ¬ ¨ ‡ ¦ È ² k ¦ Èz ¦ Ú § „ ½ © È ¨ ‡ ´  ¨ - ‰ p¥‰ ¦ Bz ½ L § ‡ ¦ È ¯ ´ © N ¨ - χ ¤ ÆC ˙ ¨ Ÿ‡ e‡ ³ ¯ § È ¦ - Èk « ¦ ‰ È ¨ À‰ ¨  § 12 : z § ‡ « ¨ ‰‡−¤ ¯ § Ó © - ˙ Ù © È § È ˙ − ¦ Ÿ‡ e‚ ¬ ¯ § ‰ ¨  § ˙ ‡ ŸÊ ® Bz ´ L § ‡ ¦ e ¯ − Ó § ‡ ¨  § ÌÈ ¯ ½ ¦ ˆ § n ¦ ‰ © ÆÔÚ © ÓÆ © Ï § z § ‡ ® ¨ È ˙ ¦ ŸÁ ´ ‡ £ ‡−  ¨ - È ¯ ¦ Ó § ‡ ¦ 13 : ei « Á © È § C ˙ ¬ ¨ Ÿ‡  § : CÏ « ¥ Ï ¨ ‚ § a ¦ ÈL− ¦ Ù §  © ‰ ˙ ¬ ¨ È § Á ¨  § C ¯ ½ ¥ e · Ú£ · © ÈÏ ´ ¦ - · Ë © ÈÈ « ¦   Book   |   Chapter Home  | TOC
